International students are welcome to apply for the University of Tasmania’s International Women in Maritime Engineering Scholarship. The scholarship enables enrollment in the University of Tasmania’s master’s degree program in maritime engineering. The application period for scholarships is now open.

Degree Level for Maritime Engineering Scholarship
The University of Tasmania offers the International Women in Maritime Engineering Scholarship, which can be used to start master’s-level courses.
- The Maritime Engineering Scholarship is available for one or two semesters.
- Scholarships for Maritime Engineering Available Subjects: Maritime Engineering
- International and domestic students are eligible.
Eligibility for Scholarships
International applicants wishing to study the Bachelor of Maritime Engineering (Specialization) (Hons) (24V1) at the Launceston campus in 2024 with a Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, or Marine and Offshore major are eligible for scholarships. The prerequisite for eligibility for the award is that Noise must be majoring in engineering. We are not open to applicants bringing advanced degrees with them.
International female students who meet the requirements to enroll in the Launceston campus’s Master of Engineering (Maritime Design) program (27B1) in Semesters 1 or 2 of 2024 are also eligible for scholarships. Not open to applicants bringing advanced degrees with them.
Application Procedure for Scholarships
There is no need to submit a separate scholarship application because students are automatically evaluated for the International Women in Maritime Engineering Scholarships upon submission of their International Student Application.

The UTAS tuition price for out-of-country students is AUD 35,950. IELTS, TOEFL, and PTE are required for the degree program provided by UTAS.
